The timeline of the 119th Medical Battalion
16 September 1940 - inducted into Federal service at Trenton, New Jersey
23 September 1940 - Moved to Ft. Dix, Wrightstown, New Jersey (training and pre-staging center)
5 June 1941 - relocated at A.P. Hill Military Reservation Fredericksburg, Virginia (Army Maneuver Area)
30 September 1941 Arrived at Ft. Jackson (Columbia), Ft. Bragg (Fayetteville), North & South Carolina area for the First United States Army Carolina Maneuvers.
9 December 1941 - returned to Ft. Dix, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
16 January 1942 - transferred to Cp. Claiborne, Alexandria, Louisiana (Engineer training center & Infantry Division Camp).
27 February 1942 - moved to Ft. Lewis, Tacoma, Washington (Army ground forces training center).
25 January 1944 - moved to Cp. Polk, Leesville, Louisiana for the Fourth United States Army No. 6 Louisiana Maneuvers.
8 April 1944 - located at Cp. Phillips, Salina, Kansas (Division Camp).
24 August 1944 - departed Boston Port of Embarkation for overseas destination.
15 September 1944 - arrived in France (Cherbourg).
25 March 1945 - entered Germany.
30 April 1945 - moved to Austria.
5 May 1945 - end of hostilities in Austria (surrender of German 19th Army at Innsbruck.
20 July 1945 - arrived at New York Port of Embarkation.
24 July 1945 - moved to Cp. Chaffee Fort Smith, Arkansas (Armored Division Camp)
30 November 1945 - inactivated.
